Blue Catfish

Virginia's Department of Game and Inland Fisheries introduced this species to Virginia waters from Mississippi. It grows close to 100 lbs and will eat everything in the water column. If you get in the water column it might eat you too! That is said facetiously. But the Blue Catfish is the most aggressive predator in our waters today. It swims in crab pots and feeds on the crabs caught by Virginia's waterman. Click, Blue Catfish to see more.
